His real name was Ilan which means a ‘Tree’ or an ‘Oak Tree’. His second name was ‘Beth’. He was my brother for 26 years and his memory and love will remain forever.

A poem he wrote before his passing on:

“ Golden leaves are covering paths,
This is the autumn of our life.
Slowly the old summer is ending its play
And the leaves that have covered us
Are slowly turning yellow, falling away.
The loud laughter of warm days is quieter.
The clouds are becoming darker each day.
Over the ideas of yesterday the fog sets in
To try and clear some place within.
And a long, cold winter waits
To put an end to tunes of days gone by,
To stay detached, to endure until spring comes once again,
Not to fear being empty of shape and sound.
A rebirth might await us at the end of the road,
If not this time, maybe the next.”
