Lizette Gibbe

Lizette-2

March 1, 1977 - December 11, 2019

Dear Friends,

Lizette Gibbe, a beloved member of the Fellowship of Friends, completed her task, on December 11, at 5:55 am, in Venice.  Lizette turned forty-two last March.  She was lovingly supported by her husband, Antonio, and her two children in her struggle with cancer.

Lizette joined the school in Monterrey, Mexico in 2000.  In 2001, she moved to Apollo where she lived until 2006.  From there, Lizette moved to Venice where she served as center director.  She and Antonio also supported the center in Ljubljana before moving back to Venice in 2016.

On behalf of all who knew you, we thank thee.

In loving presence,
Elizabeth Blake,
For The Elysian Society

I have been impressed with the urgency of doing.
Knowing is not enough; we must apply.
Being willing is not enough; we must do.

“Lizette, I honor and thank you
    since through your efforts
you made me understand what it means
open the Heart, connect with the Heart, listen to the Heart and place oneself at the service of
something far greater than the vain and mere mechanical stimuli we often allow to fill our lives.”

    “Nessuno
    Che abbia bisogno di amore
Può stare coi miei versi per un’ora
    E andarsene via
    Senza portare strumenti d’oro,
    E sentire che Dio
    È passato proprio vicino.”
    Hafiz

Grazie per la tua bella anima…
