Patricia Robinson-400

July 18, 1960 - December 3, 2021

Dear friends,

Patricia Robinson, a beloved member of the Fellowship of Friends, completed her task at 8:26 p.m. last night, December 3, having had cancer.

Patricia was born on July 18, 1960, and turned 61 years old on her last birthday. She joined the school in San Francisco in August 1982, and over the years moved to Athens, becoming a center director, and Paris, and finally settled at Apollo. In her last years, Patricia gave generously of her energy to Apollo Farms. The depth of her friendships was profound, and her valuation for our school was stalwart and unwavering

Patricia completed her role at her home at Apollo, joined by friends and family.

On behalf of all who knew you, we thank thee.

In loving presence,
The Elysian Society

Funeral Service Text:  Patricia Robinson 2021-12

And if only we arrange our life according to that principle which counsels us that we must always hold to the difficult, then that which now still seems to us the most alien will become what we most trust and find most faithful.
Rainer Maria Rilke

  1. Tall, stately Patricia with her beautiful smile filled many roles in our budding community. She nurtured plants, animals and people with love and honesty. Over the years I enjoyed her facials and friendship. I have a beautiful Spanish lavender hedge in our garden which was planted over 10+ years ago to remind me of Patricia. ❤️

  2. Patricia introduced me to the sheep she looked after, the ‘girls’ who gave her milk for her fresh cheeses. We both enjoyed the springy soft wool they had and their gentle curious faces. After this time together, she invited me to share her hand-spinning class for the wool from the sheep; and we met for tea again at the little Farm sometimes during a visit. Once we looked for eggs for the Farm’s customers and found some right in the seat of the little tractor. This beautiful hospitable Presence will be felt wherever she gave her time.

  3. I have been deeply shocked with the death of my dear Patricia Robinson, who was directing the Athens Center – with William Bentley – when I joined the school, in 1989. Immediately, I had received her noble soul within me, and many times she had been the inspiration for me, to act under the higher guidance of a miraculous, new school, I was so lucky to have found then.
Dear Patricia, l wish the soil of the planet Earth, that will cover you, be as light as your winged soul, who is now traveling to the neighborhood of the Angels. Thank you, from all the levels of my heart!
