Rosemary Rexford

May 26, 1926 - October 19, 2020

Dear Friends,

Rosemary Rexford, a beloved member of the Fellowship of Friends, completed her task on Sunday, October 18th, at 4:00 pm in Berlin, Vermont.  Rosemary turned ninety-four on her last birthday in May – making her the oldest student in the Fellowship.

Rosemary joined the School, in San Francisco, on August 29, 1977, dividing her time between there and Apollo. In  1980 she moved to Paris to support the Center.  Upon her return to Apollo in 1981, Rosemary worked as Office Manager of the Vineyard for more than twenty years.  In addition to being the vegetarian chef at Apollo d’Oro, she was also a dedicated library volunteer for more than seven years.

On behalf of all who knew you, we thank thee.

In loving presence,
Elizabeth Blake

That is at bottom the only courage that is demanded of us:
to have courage for the most strange, the most singular and the most inexplicable that we may encounter.

  1. Dear Rosemary we journey on. Steadily together . I am glad to have shared the path with you not knowing how connected we actually would be. A smile for you dear Rosemary. You are with us still.

  2. The time you spent with your rose –your Presence– this is what makes you a special soul! We met you and loved you during the time we spent at Nostos Programs in Greece!
Let the soil that covers you, be as light as your soul in light.
